University of Tennessee – Athletic Facility Painting Project

Located just north of the Tennessee River is the University of Tennessee’s Joan Cronan Volleyball Facility, used for collegiate women’s volleyball practices since 2014.

In June of 2018, Jonathan M., Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities, contracted CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee to refresh the volleyball practice facility. The job needed to be completed quickly, so our team reshuffled their schedules to meet the University’s needs.

Just two days after the estimate was conducted, the job began. The commercial painting contractors started by skimming over the walls, particularly in areas where removing graphics had damaged the drywall. Then our team turned their attention to brightening up the roughly 27,000 square foot space.

Our commercial painters at CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee painted the columns and walls surrounding the courts, as well as the walls in the entry way. The University of Tennessee’s signature bright orange color was used on the columns and the rear accent wall, resulting in a volleyball practice facility that radiates school pride.
